the activities of Soul Gestures

The gestures to be celebrated will come through nominations, either by local community organisations and councils, local businesses or through the Soul Gestures website.
 
 All nominations will be vetted by the Board and the person nominated will be contacted to see if they agree to have their gesture recognised.

Their story will be written in full for the Soul Gestures website and a condensed ‘clip’ will be used on the bus shelters.

A cornerstone to the success of Soul Gestures is for the stories to feature in the same community (defined by local council areas) as the person who has been nominated. In this way the gestures are relevant and identifiable within a local community and generate both recognition and a sense of positive belonging.

The Board of Soul Gestures has extensive contacts in the print and broadcast media. Gestures will be featured in local papers, and an ongoing partnership with one of the key commercial radio stations is currently being developed.
