Soul Gestures nominations
Who are we looking for? Soul Gestures Inc is looking for people whose efforts in your local community deserve to be recognized. It is all about the person who gives of themselves so that your community is a better place. It may be someone who looks after your house when you are away, or delivers meals to the elderly. It might be someone who is always there for your family during the hard times or someone who always welcomes new neighbours. It may be a volunteer or someone working with generosity in a local business. It is about the many different little gestures that enrich our lives. No soul gesture is too small.
What happens to nominations? Once a nomination is received, it will be vetted by the Board, and then the nominee will be contacted and interviewed. The story from this nomination will appear on the Soul Gestures website and a condensed version will appear in a campaign of three posters on bus shelters for a two week period in their geographical area of Perth.
Why are we doing this? Soul Gestures Inc believes that there are thousands of people quietly going about their business and at the same time doing positive things that make people around them feel good. We would like to recognize them so that they truly know we appreciate their efforts and so that more people will feel positive and even maybe inspired to do good in their own communities.
A couple of general conditions: The person submitting this Nomination should read the following general conditions and ensure that all requirements of the nomination have been met.
1. The nomination must apply to someone who is currently doing their soul gesture (or has done it this calendar year) 2. The Board has final decision on all nominations and no correspondence will be entered into. 3. Soul Gestures Inc cannot guarantee all stories will be featured or their exact location. 4. Because Soul Gestures stories are in a very public setting, the integrity of the stories is crucial. The nominee must not have committed a violent crime or a crime against children 5. Nominations must be legible and accompanied by the Soul Gestures Nomination Form; signed by the nominee. What to submit: Submit a maximum one page nomination about why you are proposing the nominee for recognition. Some of the points you may consider are: 1. The level and impact of their community involvement 2. How they have impacted on yours and your family’s life 3. Why you think they deserve recognition 4. How your community is better off for their Soul Gesture.
